Rhino invests another new truck !

“When is enough really enough,” says Trevor Conway of Rhino Building Supplies, when referring to his DAF delivery truck? That was the question being asked by his management team.

The faithful truck, bought back in 200??? has just clocked over 900,000 miles but is still going strong. Ian Tart, the delivery driver of Rhino’s faithful lorry was disinclined to change. “This truck and I have been partners for many years,” he said. “I understand that it is really in the twilight years as far as trucks go, but I have been in many tricky situations, dropping supplies in all weathers and in all locations and this truck has never failed me!”

This year, Rhino has already purchased a brand new larger truck from DAF and the decision was made that this one really needed updating in order to keep up with the demands of a fast growing delivery service.

Zoe Gabriele, Operations Director was responsible for ordering a new truck and having been pleased with the service and options she had no doubts in placing it with Guy Withwam of Ford and Slater Norwich. Guy was delighted with the order and commented, “I am pleased that a local business looking to the future has chosen DAF again. However, in good faith I hope we don’t have to wait until this truck clocks up another 900,000 km before Rhino come to us for a another change!

This year Rhino has seen their customer base grow, their delivery requests grow and they have added new office space. In order to accommodate new lines and more stock Rhino has also made their retail space bigger. This has enhanced the buying experience for local builders and retail customers and so far the feedback has been really positive.
